At El Camino Viejo Adventures, we believe that every step you take in this rugged paradise should be a journey, an adventure into the heart of nature's challenges and rewards. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to our adrenaline-pumping lineup of hikes for the upcoming year!

1. Guacamaya - January

Embark on a 2-day odyssey from Atarjea, Guanajuato, to Santa Maria de los Cocos, Queretaro. Witness the breathtaking sunrise at Sotano del Barro as military macaws take flight from the vertical cave. Brace yourself for a mountainous return to Atarjea, an experience filled with awe and wonder.

2. Tamul - February

Be the few to join us on an adventure to the iconic Cascada de Tamul in the Huasteca Potosina, where we swim and hike along the river to the waterfall.

3. El Camino del Pame - March

This hike, held annually on the borthday of Benito Juarez, crosses the border of San Luis Potosi and Queretaro. Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Pame communities while navigating challenging terrains.

4. Amazona - Semana Santa

In a remote canyon, swim, hike, and fish during a four-day adventure. Accompanied by an indigenous fisherman, this journey promises solitude and a unique cultural experience during Semana Santa.

5. La Misión - Cinco de Mayo

Launched this year for the first time, this two-day extreme hike from Tilaco, Queretaro, to Loma de Pilas, Hidalgo, will test your mettle, especially if you're afraid of heights. An unparalleled adventure awaits during the Cinco de Mayo holiday.

6. Landa - 2024

Discover the beauty of Landa de Matamoros, Queretaro, with a hike to the summit of Cerro de la Cruz. A new adventure for 2024, promising breathtaking views and challenging terrains.

7. El Avatar - September

An extreme hike in El Cantón, Pinal de Amoles, during the rainy season, featuring viewpoints, vertical tunnels, mine exploration, and a walk through the upper portions of Cañon del Infienillo.

8. Tres Estados - October

Navigate the challenging terrain where the states of Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, and Guanajuato meet, with the turquoise waters of the Rio Santa Maria as your companion during this two-day hike.

9. El Legendario - Dia de los Muertos

Our most popular and challenging hike, El Legendario takes place over 3-4 days from Pinal de Amoles to Ayutla during Dia de los Muertos holiday. Each year brings a new route, ensuring a fresh challenge for even the most seasoned adventurers.

10. Dos Rios - Revolution Day

A new addition for 2024, this hike follows the Rio Moctezuma to the Rio Extoraz, leading to the stunning viewpoint at Los Charcos. Join us on the weekend of Revolution Day in Mexico.

11. Lo Mejor de la Sierra - Intermediate Level

For a slightly less challenging experience, embark on this 2-day journey from Pinal de Amoles to Puente de Dios, continuing along the Rio Escanela to Escanelilla. It's called "Lo Mejor de la Sierra" for a reason. This hike is conducted, typically, in the months of October to December.

12. Expedition Xichú - Between Christmas and New Year's

Explore the hidden gem of Xichú, Guanajuato, during the holiday season. Revel in breathtaking miradores without the usual tourist crowds.
